He is a recent winner of the Iowa Review Award in poetry and Opium Magazine’s Schya Scanlon Seven-Line Story Contest. Patrick Williams is a poet and academic librarian living in Central New York. His poems have appeared or are forthcoming in publications including The Metric, Word Riot, 3:AM Magazine, and Right Hand Pointing. He shares poems he has found in printed concordances at http://concordancepoems.com. He is the editor of Really System, a new journal of poetry and extensible poetics. Patrick holds a B.A. in English from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Information Studies from the School of Information at The University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses creative writers’ online reading and writing practices, social interaction, and what we can learn from the systems that support them. Patrick has worked as a graphic designer, an information architect, a community technology consultant, and a dj.
