Jules Gibbs’ first book of poems, Bliss Crisis, was recently published by The Sheep Meadow Press. She’s the author of a chapbook of poems, The Bulk of the Mailable Universe, and her work has appeared in literary journals, including The Antioch Review, Salt Hill, Gulf Coast, American Poetry Review, and the Best New Poets anthology. She’s been a writing fellow at the Ucross Foundation, and she currently teaches literature and creative writing in Syracuse.

Named after the Occupy Syracuse encampment, “Perseverance Park” is a music collective comprised of multi-instrumentalists based in Syracuse, NY. “Perseverance Park” is committed to social justice through community activism and the arts. As individual artists and educators, they have toured and collaborated with communities throughout the East Coast and abroad. As a collective, they are fresh on the scene.
